Independence Hall Quilters Guild
Come and Create With Us!
The weather people calculate and look at data. But no one really knows until it happens. Our President made an educated guess and canceled the Monday meeting for the 7th. Bravo!
The Board had to meet using our COVID backup plan – ZOOM
November 14th meeting will be full of FUN – It is Sew Pillowcases Day, and The slate of Officers for the 2023 Board will be Announced. And the usual general announcements and Sew ‘N Tell.
Hope to see ya there!
‘Twas the Night Before Quilt Faire,
and all through the place,
not an entry was stirring,
Not even a vase.
The quilts, they were hung,
on the frames, with great care,
in the hope that admirers
soon would be there.
The quilters were nestled all snug in their beds.
But no visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads,
They were so tuckered out,
They slept like the dead.
One heck of a week,
working hard, getting ready.
Things going so wrong,
and chaos aplenty!
It happens each year,
to our planners dismay,
but it always works out,
by opening day.
See for yourself tomorrow (or this weekend),
Vote on your favorites and do us a favor
We love sewing and quilting,
but what’s even better?
Sharing our handiwork,
and telling their stories.
So exciting to see them
displayed in their glory!

Lorene brought in her quilt collection and wow’ed us all with her talent. Not only were they very beautiful, but they were the largest quilts I’ve seen outside of a quilt show.
I tried to take a photo of each of her masterpieces to post here, so our readers can see them. The usual disclaimer applies: The Photography Never Does Come Close to the Real Thing (PNDCCRT) Just foolin’ we would never use that acronym. That being said, Thank You Lorene for sharing your hard work with us!
