
Due to generous donations from members and the community, the Independence Hall Quilters awarded $5,600 in scholarships to nine 2026 Bret Harte graduates. Our top awardee, Cheyenne Stevens, received $1500.
Cheyenne will be attending Montana State University (Boise), studying data/environmental science.
Brayden Bowersox ($1000) will be attending Stanford, studying civil engineering.
Liliana Meza/Vargas ($600) will be attending Chico State to study nursing.
Ayla Jodi ($500) will be attending Willamette University, studying physical therapy.
Sean Poortinga ($500) will be attending WYO Tech, studying diesel mechanics.
Paulina Vallejo ($500) will be attending the University of Pacific, studying music education.
Mason Williams ($500) will be attending U.C. Santa Barbara, studying economics.
Shawna Truelock ($250) will be attending Oklahoma State, studying animal science/pre-veterinary.
Peyton Heermance ($250) will be attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, studying agricultural science/veterinary.
