Student Scholarships

Each year, the Independence Hall Quilters sell raffle tickets to win an awe-inspiring quilt. All proceeds are dedicated to scholarships for local graduating High School Seniors.

Scholarships awarded May 2020

The IHQ scholarship committee adapted during the Covid-19 epidemic, interviewing applicants via ZOOM and videotaping award announcements that were live-streamed on May 19, 2020.  IHQ presented 7 scholarships to BHHS seniors; three $400 scholarships to Joanna Ramos, Zoe Hartsinck, and Jimena Sanchez, a $500 scholarship to Kaitlyn Warren and three $1000 scholarships to Olivia Lilly, Madison Wolfman, and Sarah Smith.  An additional $500 scholarship was awarded by Columbia College on behalf of IHQ to Melanie McBride (2006 BHHS grad).

Congratulations to all!
