Every year the Independence Hall Quilters raffle off one of their most prestigious quilts in order to provide scholarships for local High School graduates.

Due to generous donations by members and the community, the Independence Hall Quilters awarded $5,200 in scholarships to 2023 Bret Harte graduates.

This year’s scholarships:
Dylan Knick, Jasmine Zausch, CJ DesBouillons, and Melana Wakefield will be attending junior college this fall and are receiving $400 scholarships. Dylan plans to attend Delta Junior College to study engineering, Jasmine will attend Columbia Junior College, studying fine arts, CJ will attend Cabrillo College majoring in nursing, and Melana will attend Feather River in pursuit of a medical degree.
Sam Whitt, Carston Weidman, Kadyn Rolleri, and Avila Pryor will receive $900 scholarships. Sam plans to attend Chico State to study engineering; Carston will be in Nashville at Belmont University studying audio engineering. Kadyn and Avila plan to attend Point Loma Nazarene University, Kadyn studying kinesiology, and Avila will study graphic design.

Congratulations to our awardees, and thanks to all for your generous donations.
