Presto Chango

The Quilters had their last meeting in the Hall today. Until August 21st, that is. The Hall will be consumed with Flea Market Preparations beginning tomorrow and every Tues & Thurs until Flea Market weekend arrives (August 5th and 6th).

This is our community center’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds help get repairs and upgrades done to the building, not to mention keeping us in heat and WiFi. Many hands make for light work, and lighter work means more fun doing it. Not only do the Hall’s Board Members set up and sell, but a lot of the volunteers are quilters who enjoy the use of the Hall for their meetings, classes, and sewing projects.

As much fun as the workers have, the shoppers have even more. Discovering special treasures at bargain prices, chatting with neighbors and friends you see shopping. Enjoying the vendor cuisine available (that you have been smelling way before lunchtime) is definitely a perk.

I urge you to not take my word for it – come and see for yourself.
Tuesdays & Thursdays, we need volunteers. August 5th and 6th, we need shoppers, treasure hunters, and the curious.

See ya there!

Just One More Thing…

The Membership Team is working on the 2023 Fall Edition of our member roster. This will be 2023’s final update and will be available at the August 21st meeting.

There is one more thing we ask of you before the summer break -Look yourself up in the Spring Member Directory. This roster should have a date of March 17 (or later), which will be attached to a future email.

Did you look thoroughly? Is all the information correct? Check for typos, transposed numbers, and things completely wrong. I know it’s a rarity, but I have made mistakes a few times. (Especially since the lobotomy)

Please get corrections to the following:
Jodi Greenfield (209-795-7425) or Karen Wallace (970-846-3402) ASAP.

Have a fabulous summer break, and don’t forget Tuesday & Thursday’s Flea Market fun. See ya there!
