Free Motion Quilting Class

Independence Hall Quilters

Mary Sue Budrow demonstrated her skill and passed along valuable tips in her overstuffed classroom on Monday, Jan 31. She did a demo of the stippling technique, and while students were practicing, Mary Sue walked around the classroom to answer questions and offer help. Before I had to leave, Mary Sue helped me figure out how to quilt a panel I was using to make a comfort quilt. I am so happy with the results I am getting. Her knowledge and experience with quilting techniques have benefitted all of us.

In Case You Haven’t Heard…

Independence Hall Quilters

Along with the whole world, many things at IHQ have changed since last year. We have a new Board. Many chair positions have changed, as well as those who fill them. Our first in-person meeting will be on Monday, August 23rd, at Independence Hall*

* For those members who are out of town and have been attending meetings with us over ZOOM, we are working on running ZOOM for you to log into and “be there”. Contact Jodi Lea Greenfield if you are interested in this option.

Hooray for Drop-off Day!

Independence Hall Quilters

Tomorrow, Monday May 24th, at 11:30 am, members of IHQ will gather at our Hall to turn in Boutique items, comfort quilts, pillow cases, raffle tickets, and the like. There will be a designated “free table” as well.

Bring your lunch and a chair to enjoy visting in the parking lot. We make a socially distant circle and eat together, as close as we can come to a luncheon these days. I will try to take some photos this time and if any turn out right you will see them here – someday. Yours truly has a very busy week ahead, so no ETA is established.

I hope to see a whole bunch of members tomorrow! Please remember to bring your mask, a folding chair & lunch.
