Quilting Weather

It’s our first snow of the season here in Arnold. I have mixed emotions about it because I have not yet stocked up my pantry for being snowbound. As for “things to do,” I am overstocked with yarn, fabric, and UFOs (Unfinished objects).

Personally, I love to watch the snowflakes fall. Especially the floaty fat flakes. I’m sure this is why I can’t progress much on anything I work on while it snows.

Isn’t that the beauty of snow days? The world slows down. The pressures and urgencies of life aren’t so in-your-face. When there is one snowplow in town, it keeps the highway and the main roads clear. Residential cul de sacs are the last priority, and we are fortunate to have our street plowed at all.

The weather advisory tells of small storms coming through all weekend. Our last Guild Meeting for 2024 may not happen as planned. We could meet via Zoom, but it’s more fun to Sit ‘n Sew in person!

Either way, I’ll see you January 6, 2025.
