I married my high school sweetheart 60 years ago.  We have 2 children, 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandson.

We moved to Arnold in 1988. I saw the banner over Highway advertising the Quilt show.  I went to the show and met some new friends. I joined Quilters in 1988.  I had made a twin size quilt in 1974 and said I would never make a quilt again because it took so long, but I ended up making a queen size quilt for my first quilt at IHQ with Mary Lou as the teacher.

I have been on the Board quite a few years holding positions as President, 1st VP, Secretary, Member at Large, Parliamentarian and Advisor. I really enjoy our meetings, seeing friends and the classes inspire me to expand my quilting skills. I love doing Art Quilts and Wearable Art.

Since moving to Murphys two years ago I can enjoy my love of gardening.  No so many critters to eat everything and a longer growing period (no Snow).

I love watching NASCAR racing on TV and rooting for my favorite driver.  A few years ago we were able to go to a few race tracks to watch live racing.  I got to ride in the Richard Petty Racing experience 6 laps around the Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina. More would have been better.
