
Every year, the Independence Hall Quilters raffle off one of their most prestigious quilts to provide scholarships for local High School graduates.
Due to generous donations by members and the community, the Independence Hall Quilters awarded $4,200 in scholarships to 2025 Bret Harte graduates.
Cam Johnson and Avery DeGennaro will be attending junior college this fall and will be receiving $500 scholarships. Cam will attend Columbia Junior College, pursuing a career in Fire Science, and Avery will be studying Aviation Mechanics at Sacramento City Junior College.
Airein Gish received a $500 scholarship to attend a Lineman school in Oroville. Trent Livanos received a $500 scholarship to attend a commercial pilot program.
Rao Cox received a $1000 scholarship to pursue a career in teaching at Santo Rosa Junior College then Sonoma State. Lillian Green was gifted a $1200 scholarship to pursue a career in musical theater.
